Pinoy Big Brother First Eviction Result: Lordwin and Diane Evicted from Pinoy Big Brother House

Pinoy Big Brother First Eviction Result: Lordwin and Diane Evicted from Pinoy Big Brother House

Lordwin, the Maabili-Daddy of Quezon of “Pinoy Big Brother UnliDay” and Diane, the Seksing Bossing of QC of “Pinoy Big Brother UnliNight” were evicted from the Pinoy Big Brother house in last Saturday night’s, November 26, first ever back-to-back eviction of the season.

The “vote to evict” system worked against Diane who got -9.83% of the votes. Continuing their bid inside the mansion are Tol (6.39%), Kigoy (7.93%), and Slater who got the highest percentage of votes amounting to 28.95%.

Escaping eviction from the industrial house were Erica (6.82%), Kim (19.95%), and Mark (20.17%), while Lordwin only garnered 4.56%.

After her exit last night, Diane said the allegedly ill-mannered Kigoy will likely be nominated again for eviction next week. Kigoy once stole a kiss from Diane, enraging her and creating a rift between them. “Women should be respected,” Diane quipped.

Meanwhile, Lordwin predicts Reg is next on the list of nominees for being a know-it-all like Paco in their tasks.

Filipino-American Seth, on the other hand, was recently declared an official housemate when he and Luz successfully convinced the “PBB UnliNight” housemates that they are a married couple.

Leila De Lima on Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo: "No reason for house arrest."

Leila De Lima on Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo: "No reason for house arrest."

Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila De Lima is not favorable on the motion of the camp of former President and now Pampanga Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo for her to be placed under house arrest.

While it is still up to Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 112 Judge Jesus Mupas, who is handling the electoral sabotage case filed against the former president, to decide on the detention arrangement, De Lima said it is much better that CGMA be detained in a government hospital facility which is complete with amenities.

She also revealed that the lawyers of CGMA have not presented enough evidence to support her bid for house arrest.

There is no basis anymore for her continuous hospital confinement. If there is no basis for hospital arrest, there is less reason for house arrest,” De Lima said.

Mo Twister Talks About Rhian Ramos and Abortion

Mo Twister Talks About Rhian Ramos and Abortion

Mo Twister and Rhian Ramos are reportedly back with their old ways. But unlike before, Rhian admitted that she could never be the same Rhian that Mo wanted her to be - "his girl".

Although the Kapuso model-actress admitted that she’s in constant communication again with DJ Mo via text, she is quick to clarify that it means nothing to her, "Yes, text-text lang. Nung birthday niya, nag-greet lang ako sa kanya sa text, ganoon lang. Nag-uusap naman kami if necessary, ganun." she explained.

"Actually, mas gusto ko 'yong walang boyfriend. Ang maging single uli, dahil nagkaroon ako ng time sa mga friends ko. Pag hindi busy, nakaka-attend ako ng party, nakakalabas kasama sila." Rhian added.

The "The Road" star also reportedly visited the DJ in the hospital when he got sick, "Oo pinuntahan ko siya. Kasi naman siyempre hindi naman mawawala yung concern ko. And I wanted to see lang kung okay siya, mukhang okay na at healthy pa.

"Of course, may concern ako and that's on my part. Ganun akong klaseng tao. That doesn't mean it's mutual." Rhian admitted.

Meanwhile, Mo Twister, who revealed his immediate decision to leave the country for good because of his sick daughter with former teen star Bunny Paras in the U.S. and his failed relationship with Rhian, had a series of intriguing twitter and tumblr posts lately which all pointing to one delicate concern - abortion.

One of DJ Mo's twitter posts states:

"I have a question about abortion. Should the girl ask the guy what his thoughts are and should he have a chance to stand up for the baby?"

Followed by these post:

"Because no amount of inconvenience could ever justify treating the supreme creation of God with murderous contempt."

In one of the episodes of TV5's late night showbiz talk show "Juicy" where he is one of the hosts, DJ Mo was quoted saying, "It comes to a point na, feeling ko, I think I have to leave na the country. May isa pang malaking bagay na pinagdaanan, na I've been trying to overcome in the past year, na hindi related sa breakup namin ni Rhian. But it's something that Rhian and I have been trying to overcome together, and sana..."

His co-host Cristy Fermin then asked another intriguing question, "Nakokonsens'ya ba kayo?" which DJ Mo immediately answered with "I don't know... Ayokong sabihin na 'kayo' because Rhian is her own person and I am my own person. Basta, I'm in a dark, dark place. I'm in a dark place."

Who do you think could be the girl he was referring to? Did they both agree to commit a sinful mistake of removing the fruit of their hidden relationship? Oh no!

Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago Used Cheesy Pick-up Lines to Caught Student's Attention in RH Bill Forum

Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago Used Cheesy Pick-up Lines to Caught Student's Attention in RH Bill Forum

Anong height mo? Paano ka nagkasya sa puso ko?

Masasabi mo bang bobo kung ikaw lang naman ang laman ng utak ko?

Using the above funny yet cheesy pick-up lines, Senator Miriam Defensor Santiago caught the attention and interest of students from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa during the Reproductive Health (RH) Bill forum on Friday, November 25.

But when the lady Senator received no response when she asked her audience “Sino sa inyo ang interesado sa sex?” she immediately urged students, “Kung hindi ka interesado, magpagamot ka, dahi abnormal 'yan eh.

During the forum, Santiago particularly discussed the importance of responsible and safe sex that the RH bill she authored tries to enforce. She also clarified that the bill is not intended to teach and push young people to indulge in sex but rather help them understand very well facts about human reproduction, pregnancy risk for women, contraception, and sexually transmitted diseases so they could deal responsibly with their sexual natures.

Sex will come, too, preferably married sex. Pero kung hindi mo na talaga mapigilan, puwede ba, mag-condom ka na lang?

Mali 'yong pag-iisip mo na magtatakbuhan sila sa ilalim ng acacia at magse-sex silang lahat,” Santiago explained.

And her message to those against the RH Bill?

Hahanapin ko ang mga magulang nila at tuturuan ko na mag-emergency contraception para hindi na makapanganak uli ng mga taong kamukha nila.” she said.

Bruno Mars - It Will Rain (Music Video and Lyrics)

If you ever leave me baby,
Leave some morphine at my door
‘Cause it would take a whole lot of medication
To realize what we used to have,
We don’t have it anymore.

There’s no religion that could save me
No matter how long my knees are on the floor
So keep in mind all the sacrifices I’m makin’
Will keep you by my side
Will keep you from walkin’ out the door.

Cause there’ll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There’ll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same, if you walk away
Everyday it will rain, rain, rain...

I’ll never be your mother’s favorite
Your daddy can’t even look me in the eye
Oooh if I was in their shoes, I’d be doing the same thing
Sayin there goes my little girl
Walkin’ with that troublesome guy

But they’re just afraid of something they can’t understand
Oooh well little darlin’ watch me change their minds
Yeah for you I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try I’ll try
I’ll pick up these broken pieces ’til I’m bleeding
If that’ll make you mine

Cause there’ll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There’ll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same if you walk away
Everyday it will rain, rain, rain...

Don’t just say, goodbye
Don’t just say, goodbye
I’ll pick up these broken pieces ’til I’m bleeding
If that’ll make it right

Cause there’ll be no sunlight
If I lose you, baby
There’ll be no clear skies
If I lose you, baby
Just like the clouds
My eyes will do the same if you walk away
Everyday it will rain, rain, rain...

Hacienda Luisita: Supreme Court Orders Distribution of Hacienda Luisita to Tenant Farmers

Hacienda Luisita, the vast agricultural estate owned by the family of President Benigno Aquino III, was ordered by the Supreme Court to be distributed to tenant farmers.

The high court’s decision was unanimous, 14-0, in a 56-page resolution penned by Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco and promulgated on November 23, Wednesday.

The Supreme Court stressed in the resolution that “control over agricultural lands must always be in the hands of the farmers” and pointed out that allowing the 6,296 beneficiaries to remain stockholders would never allow them “gain control given the present proportion of shareholdings.”

‘The Kitchen Musical’ Cast Invade the Country in One Night Gala

‘The Kitchen Musical’ Cast Invade the Country in One Night Gala

Pan-Asian television musical drama series “The Kitchen Musical” literally invaded the country recently after its cast members flew from different parts of Asia for a gala night held at the InterContinental Manila Hotel where they rendered sizzling hot musical performances with Pinoy pride and lead stars Karylle, Christian Bautista and Arthur Acuna.

The three had just arrived from a “The Kitchen Musical” road show in Indonesia and Malaysia and were joined by supporting cast members Thou Reyes, Carla Dunareanu, Gayle Nerva, Rebecca Spykerman, Nadiah M. Din, and Erwin Shah Ismail who, like true Asian superstars, wowed the guests as they owned the stage singing TKM versions of the hit songs BOOM BOOM POW and OMG to the delight of their Singaporean producers from The Group Entertainment (TGE), local advertisers, bloggers, as well as select members of the entertainment press.

Also present during the gala night was CheeK, the creator and writer of “The Kitchen Musical” and TGE CEO Nelia Sutrisno and TGE Executive Vice President Christopher James.

Lucky fans from different Asian countries, who joined TKM’s on-air promo, also flew in to Manila and attended the gala.

“Pilipinas Got Talent 3” grand winner Maasinhon Trio, R and B Prince JayR, international YouTube sensation Marie Digby, Zia Quizon, and TKM musical director Gerard Salonga also graced the stage and gave their own rendition of songs inspired from the show.

“The Kitchen Musical” gala night, hosted by “Us Girls” hosts Angel Aquino, Iya Villania, and Megan Young, was co-produced by TGE and its official Philippine free-TV carrier Studio 23, to serve as a thanksgiving to its stakeholders for the overwhelming support and success earned by the multi-million dollar franchise.

Aside from enjoying a wide following among its Asian market, “The Kitchen Musical” will soon be airing on western television. TGE CEO Nelia Sutrisno made the big announcement during the gala that USA’s ABC and Italy’s Casanova Multimedia bought the show’s format and will be remade respectively in their countries.

Currently, TKM airs in 16 countries all over Asia. It first premiered on Philippine free TV via ABS-CBN last Oct 2 and continues to air every Saturday on Studio 23.

Studio 23 Head March Ventosa said Studio 23 has been supporting the show as if it is its own. “A year ago they approached us, we saw the pilot, and we thought this is going to be a winner. We’ve had so much confidence in TKM that we programmed it back-to-back with ‘The X Factor USA’ which is a big show for Studio 23. It gives viewers a nice musical block for the weekend,” he added.

“The Kitchen Musical” airs every Saturday, 7:30 p.m. on Studio 23. For more information and updates on the series, log on to www.thekitchenmusical.com/facebook/ph or follow its official Twitter account at www.twitter.com/KitchenMusical.

Arroyo Mug Shot Release, a Violation of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's Rights to Privacy

Arroyo Mug Shot Release, a Violation of Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo's Rights to Privacy

Congresswoman Arroyo's mug shot which went viral in social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter is a violation of her human rights according to Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago.

The lady Senator said that the release of her mug shot is illegal as it violated the former President's right to privacy.

When the mug shot of the accused is taken, could it be a violation of her personal right to privacy if this is published? The answer is yes,” Senator Santiago told reporters.

Senator Santiago also questioned the newspaper and websites that published Arroyo’s mug shot.

It is another question whether a newspaper or a website can publish a mug shot,” she said. “It is not a usual, common photograph. It already suggests guilt on the part of the person. What’s more is that it catches the individual at his most embarrassing moment.

The Philippine National Police (PNP), however, questions the authenticity of the mug shots that made its way to the internet. Chief Director General Nicanor Bartolome said there were discrepancies with the caption of the official mug shots and the published versions.

I would like to state for the record that the published pictures are not the authentic mug shot photos of Rep. Gloria Arroyo,” Bartolome said.

'Password' is the World's Worst Password, What's the Other 24?

Guess what's the worst password you can choose for your online account? That's right, none other than "password."

"Password" tops the list of worst Internet passwords as compiled by password management application provider SplashData.

Hackers can easily break into many accounts just by repeatedly trying common passwords. Even though people are encouraged to select secure, strong passwords, many people continue to choose weak, easy-to-guess ones, placing themselves at risk from fraud and identity theft,” SplashData CEO Morgan Slain said in an interview posted on tech site Mashable.

Mashable said the list was based on millions of stolen passwords posted online by hackers.

It noted the list included passwords with sequences of adjacent numbers or letters on the keyboard. Even certain combinations of numbers and letters have made the list.

The full list includes:

1. password
2. 123456
3. 12345678
4. qwerty
5. abc123
6. monkey
7. 1234567
8. letmein
9. trustno1
10. dragon
11. baseball
12. 111111
13. iloveyou
14. master
15. sunshine
16. ashley
17. bailey
18. passw0rd
19. shadow
20. 123123
21. 654321
22. superman
23. qazwsx
24. michael
25. football

Mashable said SplashData has provided some tips for choosing secure passwords in a statement:

  • Vary different types of characters in passwords, and include numbers, letters and special characters when possible.
  • Choose passwords eight characters or longer, and separate short words with spaces or underscores.
  • Don’t use the same password and username combination for multiple websites and services. Use an online password manager.

Former President and now Pampanga Congresswoman Gloria Macapagal Arroyo has been served a warrant of arrest at her hospital bed in St. Luke’s Medical Center in Taguig City on Saturday, November 19 at around 3:30 p.m., for electoral sabotage, which carries a life sentence.

The booking was facilitated by Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit Senior Superintendent Joel Coronel who said that Arroyo's documents will be sent to Camp Crame in Quezon City for processing. He also said the mugshots will be released on the court's discretion.

"She's now under hospital arrest," Coronel added.

Arrest warrants were also served to Andal Sr. and former election officer Lintang Bedol.

Based on Republic Act No. 6646, electoral sabotage constitutes altering of votes during an election, tampering numbers on "large scale or in substantial numbers."

Comelec Files Electoral Sabotage Charges vs Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and Other Former COMELEC Officials

Comelec Files Electoral Sabotage Charges vs Gloria Macapagal Arroyo

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Friday filed electoral sabotage charges against Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and other officials, which could be sufficient for the government to stop the former president travelling overseas as planned later on Friday.

Election Commission chairman Sixto Brillantes said election commissioners had voted, 5-2, to file the charges against Arroyo after an early morning meeting on Friday. The Comelec filed the electoral sabotage charges before the Pasay City Regional Trial Court, and immediately petitioned RTC Judge Jesus Mupas to issue a hold departure order against the former president. Also included in the charges were election official Lintang Bedol, and former Maguindanao official Andal Ampatuan Sr.

Also recommended charged with electoral sabotage were former Comelec Chair Benjamin Abalos Sr.; former Comelec Commissioner Nicodemo Ferrer; former Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Alberto Agra; former Maguindanao provincial administrator Norie Unas; and former election supervisors Lilian Radham and Yogie Martirizar, and several others.

The Arroyos' lawyer, Ferdinand Topacio, said in Filipino that he would be "surprised if the (hold departure order) is issued within the day", given the volume of material submitted by the Comelec. He suggested that any such order that can be issued so quickly could only be part of a larger political "script".

The Comelec charges came ahead of a special sitting of the Supreme Court to hear a government motion against its decision on Tuesday to issue a temporary restraining order on the government's travel ban on Arroyo and her husband.

Arroyo, president from 2001 to 2010, has faced allegations of electoral fraud and corruption but has not been formally charged.

Arroyo says she needs to travel overseas for medical treatment, but the government had placed a travel ban on Arroyo and her husband.

After the high court decision on Tuesday, Arroyo turned up at the airport in a wheelchair and her neck in a brace, aiming to fly overseas for medical treatment, but she and her husband were turned back.

Google+ Releases Top 10 Most Followed Philippine Brands; GMA News Leads the List

On November 7, Google+ finally opened its doors to business users. Companies everywhere went right in and launched their own pages, with Philippine brands jumping straight into the thick of the action.

The still-nascent service is attracting a steady stream of business users, with some notable early adopters already gaining traction among Google+ regulars - many of whom, according to a recent study, are highly brand conscious.

Not surprisingly, the Philippine community of Google+ business users is led by major online content producers such as gaming portals and media companies. But real-world businesses are also getting a boost from online social interaction, with airlines and a shopping portal making the list.

Here is a list of the top ten Philippine brands on Google+ based on follower count, as of November 12:

10) Manila Concert Scene

Proving that Filipinos love to tune in and rock out, the Google+ page of music blogsite Manila Concert Scene has 76 followers, with +1’s. The page is regularly updated with upcoming concerts and music events in the nation's capital.

9) Greenpeace Philippines

Online Filipinos are very nature-conscious, if the popularity of this page is any indication. Greenpeace Philippines, the local arm of the international non-profit environmental organization, has 128 followers and 14 +1’s.

8) Level Up! Philippines
Filipinos absolutely love online games, as evidenced by their popularity on social networks and in Internet cafés alike. The page of Level Up! Philippines, an online gaming portal, has 94 followers and 27 +1’s. The page is already actively posting news about multi-player online gaming in the Philippines.

7) Philippine Ragnarok Online

The local page of Ragnarok Online, another popular online gaming portal, has 152 followers and 29 +1’s. Their page offers promos and services for Ragnarok players.

6) TV5

Filipinos also love to shop. The page of online bargain-finder Ensogo Philippines has 165 followers and 39 +1’s. The page regularly posts bargain deals.

4) University of the Philippines

The only academic institution to make the list, the official University of the Philippines (UP) page has 386 followers and 39 people have +1’d it. The page posts campus-related press releases and links to online articles about UP.

3) Philippine Airlines

Online booking services have helped make air travel easier —or at least more talked about. This is the likely reason why the pages of two of the country's major airlines made it to the list. Philippine Airline’s official page has 298 followers and 30 +1’s. Aside from flight updates, the site also posts news releases and links to articles on what’s hot in tourism and travel.

2) Cebu Pacific Air

Cebu Pacific Air, well-known for its foray into viral videos and social media, has the most followers of any local airline on Google+. The official page of Cebu Pacific has 596 followers, and 88 people have +1’d it. The page has photos of the Cebu Pacific planes and crews. It also shows photos of popular destinations the airline covers.

1) GMA News

The official Google+ page of GMA News, the news segment of GMA Network, has 1,740 followers and 93 people have +1’d it. The site is regularly updated with the latest news and developing stories.

For a while, Google+ had focused on growing its community of personal users and advised against the creation of business or corporate profiles. But with the introduction of pages for businesses, brands can now establish their own presence and interact with people online.

As of this writing, other known brand names like Bench, UnionBank and 7-Eleven have already created their own Google+ pages. Given the stable growth of Google+ over the past year, more brands may be expected to follow suit as well.
