Manny Pacquiao Defeats Juan Manuel Marquez III via Majority Decision
Manny Pacquiao defended his World Boxing Organization (WBO) welterweight crown by beating Juan Manuel Marquez III in their boxing match at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 13, 2011 (Manila time) via majority decision.
Here's a round-by-round recap by LA Times (scoring is unofficial):
Round 1: Pacquiao jabs. Marquez swings a left. Pacquiao double-jabs. Marquez misses a left counter. Pacquiao lands one. Marquez pounds the body. Pacquiao with a left counter. i don't know about you but when i look at the fight, i think marques deserves to be the winner at that fight but not recognize as pound for pound because he only fights below 145 or 140 pounds.If Manny lost that fight He would still remain as pound for pound and we re-fight again marques for the 4th fight
i don't think Manny won that fight because based from what i saw, it was Marques' Fight not Manny. it should be Marques who won that fight.
If Manny lost that fight, he would still be recognize as the best and number 1 pound for pound best fighter in the world today because unlike Marquez, he is only used to fight opponents below 145 or perhaps at the catch weight at 145-147.And for sure Manny will fight again Marques on May,although it depends on the negotiation with Bob Arum. Lets hope it happens and when it does, i hope i can see a different Manny.
